Freedom: one form for another. ;)

Have you ever wondered which is the sweetest and most promising word you have ever come across.? from those 26 alphabets, three of them were lucky to be a part of the word of my dreams. :) That magical word is none other than- "Free"... its simply a state when we are given the maximum number of options in anything we do. May it be choices we have for the places we wanna go... or a choice to get ur child the most expensive dress in town... or being able to do what ever we want to do at any point of time.

"free"...The state ideally to be attained fully... the state which I would ever live and even die for... the core factor of people's lives.. no matter what ever fortunes are left for us or how ever free we are physically, i think Freedom is not attained without having it in the full shape. What i mean is, if we have the liberty to move around anywhere in the world, its too little to be accumulated as the complete freedom. I think there are so many forms of freedom which are collectively called "Complete freedom"

what im gonna discuss is just too familiar. but these things are not always measured in terms of freedom. And as materialistic and money minded the world has become, First thing to be told is abt money... the word "freedom" is always hidden in this process of churning money using millions of methods... may it be legal or illegal.

But... people always mistook the need of making money which they think is for gaining power. How i wish they will understand one day... money is not for power but simply for gaining a form of FREEDOM. freedom to live without anyone's control over our own needs and sometimes, "wants". freedom to live our own life filled with choices. This is also called financial freedom, often named as power, which is very wrong. I think its the freedom and the ability to solve monetary problems by ourselves, standing on our own legs.

If you have noticed, people often sacrifice one kind of freedom for another. At times, being unfair to their own lives when seen through other's eyes. This is in reverence to the fact that, sadly we cant attain a complete "free" life as long as heaven is not brought down onto this earth. For example, A person going to jail aft committing a crime for making money... is a clear case of sacrificing one's physical freedom (to move around freely) for financial freedom. Or to love someone and sacrifice ur love for Her/Her for not to be distracted in our career/studies etc, can be perceived as a sacrifice of freedom to love for the same financial freedom.

"Prioritize" is the word here. We are supposed to prioritize the different instances of freedom we have in our life, and decide which one to lose for which one. Or is it better to have a little bit of everything.... choice is yours. either way, only one thing is there to be taken care of. Picturize where you will be after a certain period of time, and try to see if you will have regrets for the choice you made.

Never think that you are free when you attain a mere form of freedom. But do feel successful when you have the attained that instance of freedom which you have prioritized in your life as the top one. To be free, i think we have to work to attain that particular form of the freedom first.. and not for absolute freedom in everything (which is Utopian idea), coz the angel of liberty has too many faces to count.

That was too much for a single word- free. but those four letters mean a lot to me :)

God bless.

one can neva be obsessed with freedom... coz... i think, to be obsessed with something, we have to get it in full shape. and freedom iz smthing which is neva enough for us...
so its neva an obsession.. in my words, its a craving/pursuit or sometimes a dream... :)

'in my words, its a craving/pursuit or sometimes a dream... :)'
yeah, i agree .

but speaking of obsession, agree 2 disagree wit wot u said.2 b obsessed wit sumthng , i don thnk u need 2 get it fully. its coz wot u get is never enuf dat u get obsessed wit it.
if it ws sumthng easily available ,ders no point in getting obsessed.
havng said dis , i need 2 say dis too...
my love 4 freedom is not an obsession , just a need , a very basic one.

Yes freedom is certainly one of the basic needs of a human being. I totally agree.
and speakin bout obsession, I meant to say tht, We are always in need of more n more freedom, so much pre occupied finding every single way we can gain diff forms of freedom...and this may be mistook as an obsession...
like learning is not an obsession, same goes for this abstract thing called freedom.
haha... n now u hav made me think bout smthin i hav left out in ma entry. though the context is a bit diverted. thx anyways ;)
